This colourway is exclusive to current members of the InterStellar Yarn Alliance. If you're not currently in the club, please do not order this yarn. The Colourways:

SpaceCadet is so name for a reason: as artists at heart, it in our natures to create…  and to create chaos. So we took inspiration from that as we designed these colourways, choosing hues that maybe shouldn’t go together, layering them over one another, and letting the dye work its magic. It feels like a fitting end to this club which has brought us so much joy.

For Chaos Makers, we mixed up a whole collection of colours and set them out in bowls: a cool teal-sage, a rich rust, a vibrant magenta, and a stunning purple. Then, one by one, we submerged the yarn in each colour, twisting the skein as we did to allow the dyes to strike in different places. As the colours aborbed into the fibers, they flowed across one another, blending to create secondary shades where they meet and making the whole colourway even more compelling. And finally, we washed the each yarn in a beautiful charcoal grey, to pull the colourway together and add stunning depth.

The result is a yarn that will continually change, stitch by stitch, as you work with it, and create a deliciously exciting final fabric that will have you thinking, “Just one more row!”
For the coordinating colourways, we took those same hues and applied them to the yarn differently. We dyed the semi-solid, Organised Anarchy,  by first submerging it in a teal underlay, then washing it gently with a grey, before pouring over soft clouds of purple, the exhaust from the rust dyebath, and finally a hint of magenta. For the graphic colourway, Responsible Hooligans, we started with the same base hue as our main yarn, but then added a strong pop of the teal-sage before striping the skeins with a bold purple and an almost-black charcoal. The Yarn:

Celeste is a smooth and light yarn that gives an incredibly generous 490yds per skein.

Fiber Content: 100% Superwash Merino; 3-ply
Weight: Fingering; Each skein is approximately 3.5oz/100g, and the yarn contains approximately 490 yards per 100g

Ordering Details:

  • Order as many skeins as you like, and we will get them in the dyepots for you! Because this is a custom process, please allow up to 4-6 weeks for your order to be ready.
  • Yarn Alliance Members' Price! Normally priced at $28.99, the colourway is available exclusively to the members of the Yarn Alliance for the special price of $26.
  • This yarn will be remain available to order for a full month. The listing will be marked as sold out at 11:59pm (eastern) on 14 July 2024.
  • A very important note: As you all know, different dyelots rarely match perfectly, especially in hand-dyed yarns. Although we will do everything in our power to replicate the yarns from first dyelot, the yarn you receive may not match perfectly. Do bear this in mind if an exact match is important to you. To minimise any visible impact when using hand-dyed yarns, we always recommend alternating skeins every couple of rows in your project.
