Luminary Winter Solstice Celebration

Sold out.

We are in the deepest part of winter, when the days are short and the nights are at their longest. And to brighten those long, dark nights, we light candles, moving the flame from wick to wick until the whole world seems to glow again.

The winter solstice deserves to be celebrated, whether because you love the dark nights, or to herald the start of the slow return of the sun.  And so on a whim, we dyed this lovely colourway, inspired by the light of those candles: the golden yellow of the flame, the gentle orange glow of the wick, and the creamy wax of the candlestick.

Because it was entirely spontanious, there are very limited quantities -- only enough of each base for a sweater or two -- and when they are gone, they are gone.  But then, just like candles on midwinter's eve, their beauty is in their brevity.

These skeins are dyed and ready to ship.  Order early and, with a little luck, the post office will deliver them for the solstice!
