Found Treasures: SpaceCadet One-of-a-Kinds

At SpaceCadet®, we dye every skein by hand from only primary colours, so we do a lot of experimentation. And that means we create some truly amazing one-of-a-kind colourways. One of the SpaceCadet crew's favourite things to do is to dump all of our One-of-a-Kind skeins out onto a big sheet, and then we sit together and start sorting them into coordinating sets. Not that any of the skeins match exactly, but they all *go* together, which is somehow even more exciting. ⠀

And there we'll be, each of us sitting at a different corner of the sheet and one of us will have a set of three or maybe four skeins, and be looking looking *looking* for just the right colourway to complete the set, when another of us will spot the perfect yarn and hold it up to the admiration (and loud approval) of the whole team. It's like a game, a big collective endeavour, that is so much fun that it's turned into one of our favourite things to do. And it results in some seriously gorgeous sweater sets!

Oriana is an sock twist fingering yarn with 8 plies that give extra strength and durability.

Celeste is a smooth and light yarn that gives an incredibly generous 490yds per skein.

Ester is smooth and sturdy, the perfect hard-working yarn.

Lucina is a smooshy and soft fingering yarn, with nylon for strength and an eye-catching cascade of sparkes!

Aurora is simply delicious! With 20% cashmere, it's amazingly luxurious, and a touch of nylon gives it extra strength.

Maia (my-a) is simply a stunning yarn, named after the fourth brightest star in the Pleiades. Spun with bamboo for incredible sheen and beautiful drape, Maia's soft colours and "iced" appearance make it the perfect yarn for your most elegant and eye-catching.

Lyra (leer-a or lie-ra) is beautifully spoingy yarn that's a joy to use. Named for a small constellation, Lyra's cabled 8-ply construction gives it a loftiness that feels fantastic, and the strength to used for anything from socks to sweaters.
